Available Configurations

The Altra family offers versatile core counts to match your specific workload requirements.

32 Core Variant
Best For: Entry Cloud Native

The 32-core configuration offers an excellent entry point for moving workloads to ARM. It provides substantial parallel processing power for web servers and development environments without excessive power draw.

Web Servers Load Balancers DevOps
64 Core Variant
Best For: High Traffic & Databases

Balanced for performance and efficiency. The 64-core model is the sweet spot for in-memory databases like Redis and Memcached, ensuring low latency and consistent throughput for high-traffic applications.

Redis/Memcached App Servers Container Nodes
80 Core Variant
Best For: Analytics & Encoding

The top tier of the standard Altra family. With 80 single-threaded cores, this configuration eliminates resource contention, making it ideal for video encoding pipelines, batch processing, and CI/CD builds.

Engineered for Cloud Native

The Ampere Altra Family provides the perfect balance of cores and speed.

Web Serving

High throughput for NGINX, Apache, and load balancers.

In-Memory DB

Consistent low latency for Redis and Memcached.

Media Encoding

Linear scaling for H.264/H.265 transcoding tasks.

CI/CD

Faster build times with parallel execution pipelines.

The Single-Thread Advantage

Predictable Performance

Unlike x86 processors that use SMT (Hyper-Threading), Ampere Altra uses single-threaded cores. This eliminates the "Noisy Neighbor" problem, ensuring that 100% of the core's performance is yours, 100% of the time.

Sustainable Computing

Ampere Altra delivers industry-leading performance per watt. By running your workloads on GTZ Host Ampere servers, you reduce energy consumption and cooling costs without sacrificing speed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Ampere Cloud Native Servers.

Ampere Altra processors provide industry-leading performance-per-watt. Because they consume significantly less power and require less cooling than traditional legacy x86 servers, we can pass those savings directly to you. You get more cores and better performance for a lower monthly price compared to equivalent Intel or AMD configurations.

We support all major ARM64-compatible Linux distributions. This includes standard versions of Ubuntu (20.04/22.04 LTS), Debian, AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux, and CentOS Stream. Also, FreeBSD and other custom kernels that support AArch64 architecture can be deployed upon request.

Legacy processors use "Hyper-Threading," where two threads share one physical core, leading to potential slowdowns when under heavy load. Ampere Altra uses Single-Threaded Physical Cores. This means 1 vCPU equals 1 physical core entirely dedicated to your task, eliminating the "noisy neighbor" effect and ensuring 100% stable performance 24/7.

Absolutely. The high core density makes them perfect for video transcoding (H.264/H.265) and streaming media servers. For game hosting, they excel at running multiple game server instances (like Minecraft Bedrock, Rust, or CS:GO) simultaneously due to the massive number of available physical cores.
